Pumpkin Carving Party

We are small group leaders in our Sunday School class. So for this Halloween, we invited our group over to the house for a little pumpkin carving contest. We had a wonderful time. Below are some pics from the event. Initially, Paige wasn't too thrilled with the evening.

But after seeing the final products...Paige marked this evening as a success!

Beach Pictures

Last week, we got to go down to the FL beach with a couple from our Sunday School class. We have some good pictures on our friends camera...hopefully I will get those posted someday. Here are 3 pics of Paige trying on a new outfit while at the condo.

Here is Paige posing in her new bathing suit.

We bought her some sunglasses for the sunny days on the beach...but Paige's nose isn't big enough yet to hold the sunglasses on her face yet. Watch out for this 'bad-to-the-bone' baby if you meet her on the beach.

I know we have been rather slow on keeping this blog updated lately...and I am sorry for that. It just seems like we have a million things going on now. We have some good pics of Paige on our regular camera, but of course that is at home...and since I do most of our blogging here at work, all I have with me are pictures from my camera phone. Better than nothing...right?

So here we go. These pictures will probably have nothing in common with each. Just totally random moments...so please bare with me.

This pic was taken at Paige's first ever, MSU football game. Unfortunately, like every other game she has been too...MSU lost. Check out the premium seats. Yes...we are 5 rows from the top of the stadium.

Cell Phone Pics

I have been caring around a couple good pictures of our baby, Paige, in my cell phone. If you have seen me lately, than you've already seen the best one. It's just the 'Proud Papa' in me.

This first one was taken the day after she was born. This picture was my cell phone's wallpaper for 3-4 weeks.

When Paige was about 1 month old, Ava and I tried to capture a picture of Paige smiling one morning just before I left for work. It took about 15 minutes and maybe 7-8 pictures, but we finally got it. This pic is still currently on my phone, and the one I show off to everyone.

And finally about 2 weeks ago, we went out and did some shopping on a Saturday. We decided to try the new 'Snugli' we got during one of our baby showers. It worked out pretty good. Paige was sacked out, and barely moved a muscle the whole time.

Paige is growing

Today, Ava got to go to our pediatrician's office for a short visit. Anytime that our pediatrician has a baby in the office, they get weighed. Today makes Paige 2 weeks old...and the doctors would like the baby to be back up to their birth weight at this stage. Paige weighed 6 pounds and 1 ounce at birth...and she weight 5 pounds and 12 ounces at her 1 week check-up. So today we were hoping she would be back up to the 6 lbs, 1 oz mark. She surprised us...she weighed in at 6 pounds and 7 ounces. So that is great!

We have taken many more pictures, of course, since the first batch I posted. I will try an get back out here again real soon and post the others up to this point.

Paige Brielle Lowry is here!

Our little lamb, Paige Brielle Lowry, came into this world on the evening of June 28 at 5:23 PM. She weighed 6 pounds and 1 ounce, and measured 19 and 1/4 inches. She was born with a head full of black hair...just like her Mama.

Sorry it's taking so long to get something posted out here...but being a father is turning out to be a rather busy job...imagine that! I have loaded all of the pictures we have taken up to this point to our Snapfish.com account, and have hopefully sent some of the family a link to the album. I am trying to get a web address to the album, and then I will post it here for everyone else. To hold you over, here is one picture of our little angel.

Baby room finishing touches

We got some letters through E-bay for Paige's name. You can see them in the pictures below. We also added some needed shelves for all the toys/piggy banks/etc... that she has been receiving.

More Baby Showers

Here are some pictures from the last two baby showers we had. The first one was given at Ava's work, Accredo Health.


And these are some shots from the shower that our Sunday school class held for us. As you can see in the some of the pictures, Ava's mother was able to come to this one.

Getting Closer!

We are now sitting on 18 days until due date...about 2 and half weeks away. We are on the rotation where we visit the doctor every week. At our visit on Monday we found out that Ava is 2 cm dilated and about 50% effaced. The doctor also believes that the baby is 'posterior', which from what we understand means she is head down (good), but she is facing the wrong way. She believes she is facing towards Ava's front, when she should be facing her back. The doctor went ahead and ordered a ultrasound...I think to verify which way she is turned and to get an estimated fetal weight. We have the ultrasound scheduled for Friday (23) morning. More to come...
