Paige Brielle Lowry is here!

Our little lamb, Paige Brielle Lowry, came into this world on the evening of June 28 at 5:23 PM. She weighed 6 pounds and 1 ounce, and measured 19 and 1/4 inches. She was born with a head full of black hair...just like her Mama.

Sorry it's taking so long to get something posted out here...but being a father is turning out to be a rather busy job...imagine that! I have loaded all of the pictures we have taken up to this point to our Snapfish.com account, and have hopefully sent some of the family a link to the album. I am trying to get a web address to the album, and then I will post it here for everyone else. To hold you over, here is one picture of our little angel.

Baby room finishing touches

We got some letters through E-bay for Paige's name. You can see them in the pictures below. We also added some needed shelves for all the toys/piggy banks/etc... that she has been receiving.

More Baby Showers

Here are some pictures from the last two baby showers we had. The first one was given at Ava's work, Accredo Health.


And these are some shots from the shower that our Sunday school class held for us. As you can see in the some of the pictures, Ava's mother was able to come to this one.

Getting Closer!

We are now sitting on 18 days until due date...about 2 and half weeks away. We are on the rotation where we visit the doctor every week. At our visit on Monday we found out that Ava is 2 cm dilated and about 50% effaced. The doctor also believes that the baby is 'posterior', which from what we understand means she is head down (good), but she is facing the wrong way. She believes she is facing towards Ava's front, when she should be facing her back. The doctor went ahead and ordered a ultrasound...I think to verify which way she is turned and to get an estimated fetal weight. We have the ultrasound scheduled for Friday (23) morning. Baby Showers!!!

Over the past 2 weeks we have had 4 baby showers and driven over 31 hours. Although we have been on the road an awful lot, we loved every minute. On Mother's Day weekend, we went to my grandmother's in Warner Robins, GA. We had about 25 people show up for a joint wedding/baby shower. Here are a few pics from that trip.



The following weekend we were in Ava's hometown of Brewton, AL.

New pictures of the room

Here are some better pictures of the baby's room. Including a very pregnant Ava!

Baby Room Additions

These are some of the pieces of furniture we have added to the baby's room. The first is a picture of the soon to be changing table. There are lots of other things on top of it, but that will all be cleared off to make room for a changing pad. And we will put things like diapers and wipes in the baskets below.

These last two we just got a few days ago. The first picture is a bookshelf for odds and ends. Then the last one is a new mirror we got to hang above the dresser. I'm proud of this one because it was a black framed mirror that was one sale. I bought it and painted it white. Much cheaper than the 'already white framed' mirrors for some resaon.

Baby's Room

Here are a few pictures of the baby's room. This used to be the guest room on the backside of our house. We have painted it a soft yellow, and I installed some crown molding on the top. We finally got our crib last week and we also picked up some curatins. Still looks a little bare, but we've still got lots to do.

This is also a chair we got from Ava's parent's house. It used to belong to Ava's grandmother. Still in very good condition.

Week 25!!!

Here is Ava while we were attending my cousin's wedding. This was taken at the beginning of week 25. Not much longer to go now.

Ava & Baby Are Growing

Here are a few pictures recently taken of Ava at 23 weeks into her pregnancy.

It's A Girl!!!

If you couldn't tell by the picture, we are very happy to find out that our new addition will be a girl. We went to the doctor this morning for our ultrasound. Everything went very well. The baby looked great and didn't appear to have any problems. All her measurements were accurate for her age and all her organs and limbs appeared to be working wonderfully. The ultrasound technician said she was very photogenic...just like her mama.
